Hope you've enjoyed the last few weeks. The break was great for me:
Spring cleaning, study, work, and some lovely relaxing days in the
garden.
As you know, our yoga sessions are hugely valuable and beneficial to
me personally. However, I've come to the very difficult decision to
cease running yoga classes after the end of the year. The combined
load of full-time work, part-time editing and yoga, part-time study
and trying to be a good mum and partner is taking its toll and
something has to give. It's a decision I really ought to have made
years ago, but it has been so hard to let go.
I've been running yoga classes in Clunes and the surrounding area
since 2013, with only a short break to birth Meg and the odd holiday
here and there. It's been such an amazing way to meet people, make
friends and share my love for the total healthcare system that is yoga
and I'm sincerely grateful to each of you for being part of that
journey.
Teaching yoga was never my intention, by the way, when I trained those
couple of times in India, I just discovered I was pretty good at it
and it rolled along from there! So I'm grateful, also, for following
my tattooed foot and going with the flow.
It's also helped to know that there are some great alternative
offerings in Clunes now, which I hope you'll take advantage of - I'm
hoping to have time to be a student again myself!
So here's how the next few months will work:
Our last session in Clunes will be Tuesday 17 December, with Evansford
on Wednesday 18 December.
I have an event I can't miss on Tuesday 12 November, so that session
will be cancelled, unfortunately.
By my reckoning, that should see everyone clear of their yoga passes.
If you'd still like to come along once your pass is done, single class
passes will be at the super duper low price of $15 per session. If you
wouldn't mind bringing the correct change, that'd be great. I won't
sell any more 5 or 10 class passes from here on.
I'm looking forward to getting back on the mat with you all this week
though, and particularly to being back in person at the Evansford
Community Hall on Wednesday morning.
Don't forget, if you can't make it in person, both the Tuesday night
and Wednesday morning sessions are available via Zoom links. The links
are pasted below. It's a good idea to get these set up a bit early, so
you don't miss the beginning of the session:
Lots of love to you all. I know many of you will be saddened by the
news. Some of us have been practicing together for a ridiculously long
time, but this is something I need to do for my own sanity!
