Hands up those of you who've ever attempted yoga with kids or cats nearby?! Nigh on impossible to find a flow, but probably even nicer than going solo, I reckon. I love having Ajax and Snowdrop purring around my feet, and Meg climbing on me and trying to slide down my legs while I'm doing downward dog!
There's a delicious wholesome feeling having the family involved when you're doing what you love. Knowing that they see and appreciate the benefits and want to be part of it. I'm so grateful to have them close by. As Meg matures, she's taking on the lessons more and more. She's not one to be pushed into anything (!) so I've had to develop more subtle ways to get her interested. I ask her to come up with her own poses for me to try, let her adjust me, tell me where I'm going right. She'd make a great instructor. She's so kind and patient (most of the time!). Here she is doing a wonderful job... The cats just want to be fed again I reckon ;) |
